The 2001 Minor Division White All Star Team !!!
Team members are: Amanda Bacoyanis, Peggy Keplinger, Justine Leonakis, Melissa Vargo,
Sara Rubino, Megan Triezenberg, Susan Suszczyk, Maya Grendlin, Jackie Kovach,
Ashley Boyan, Ashley Arens, Clarissa Gosciej, Jessica Korda, Katie Szafasz

Coaches: Jim Strudas (white shirt), Nick Hudak (purple shirt)
Game Summary:
A three and a half hour thriller! Both teams played well as the
lead bounced back and forth in a hard fought game. The Red team
pitched Eleanor Kennedy, Jackie McCarthy and Randi Fleener. They
were supported by the hot bats of Daniella Djuric, Jenny Romano,
Mary VanDeursen, Colleen Resler and Eleanor Kennedy.
The White team saw great pitching performances by Sarah Rubino,
Jessica Korda and Susan Suszczyk. Smackers were delivered by
Peggy Keplinger, Ashley Boyan, Sarah Rubino, Susan Suszczyk and
Amanda Bacoyanis. It was Peggy Keplinger who delivered a crucial
hit in the bottom of the 7th to score two runs, sending the
game into a single extra inning.
In the eighth, Red struck first with two steals at home by Randi
Fleener and Sarah Johnson. But the White team didn't give up and
scored two in the bottom of the inning including one close play at
the plate! The final score was 24 to 24!
Afterwards, both manager praised the All-Stars for the well played game.
Ted Bacoyanis said "The girls played great and had a lot of fun."
Ron Bickel said, "nobody deserved to lose; there was plenty of good
hitting and the girls had fun. It doesn't get any better than that!"

Game Summary:
On a beautiful night for softball, tough pitching by Megan Stacy,
Emily Imrich and Kristin Pagane led the Red Jr Miss All-Stars to a 15-9
victory over the White All-Star team. Timely hitting by Leigh Fimbianti,
Molly Imrich, Emily Imrich, Kristin Pagane, Karen Gouwens, Jessica
Kitchell and Brianne Rubesha gave the Red the needed offense.
White held tough through all six keeping the final score close to the
final inning. Pitching from Jocelyn Oppenhuis, Molly Sliwa, Margaret
Heneghan and Hayley Wolf kept it close. Hits by Hayley Wolf, Courtney
Zotos, Lyndsey Kunz, Molly Sliwa, Meagan Ernd and Elle Kirby came
through with the punch for the white.
Both teams played well providing a great show for family and friends!
