Summer 2010 League Information

Munster Girls Softball operates a NSA Sanctioned summer league for ages 5-16, running from April through July. Registration was held in January. Late registrations (extra fee) may be made through the MGS Player Representative Eric Laoang, 934-0932. Munster Girls Softball accepts non-Munster players. There are no residency requirements for Summer League or Fall League. See registration form for more details. Click here for registration flyer!

The League Divisions are as follows:

5-6 yr olds - Instructional B Division
7-8 yr olds - Instructional A Division
9-10 yr olds - Jr. Miss Division
11-12 yr olds - Minors Division
13-16 yr olds - Majors Division
(Ages are determined as of January 1, 2010)

MGS will conduct pre-season instructional skills clinics for players of all ages. Players and friends may sign-up during Registration for an additional $15 fee. There will be one clinic (3 hours) for Instructional Divisions, and another (4 hour) clinic for Jr. Miss, Minors and Majors Divisions.

Player evaluations are required for all players new to the Jr. Miss and Minors Divisions. Try-outs are not required for Instructional Divisions or Majors.

At the end of the regular league season, a single elimination tournament will be held for Instructional A, Jr. Miss, Minors and Majors Divisions.

Also, near the end of the regular league season, "All-Star" teams will be selected from each of the Jr. Miss, Minors and Majors Divisions. An Intra-League All-Star game will be held in mid/late July. A single division team will then be selected from the all-star players and will participate in a post-season weekend tournament against other local area all-star teams.

2010 Fees:

-> The regular league fee is $105.
-> The league fee for a sister is $55.
-> A second sister is $20.
-> Each family will be assessed one $20 concession stand deposit. MGS will operate the concession stand for the summer league. Each family is encouraged to volunteer their time to earn back their concession stand deposit.
-> An "out of town" fee of $15 per player will also be assessed to non-Munster residents. This fee is forwarded to the Town of Munster for park maintenance purposes.
